You’re busy and very important and you have little time to dilly dally, right? You’ve got things to do, people to see, buttons to press. So why should you, in your VIP-ness, have to waste valuable minutes cleaning the screen of your new tablet computer or smartphone?

The problem with winter is, it’s cold. And damp. And there’s a surprising lack of sunshine around these parts, which we can’t figure out at all. OK, that’s not a problem for those of you in the tropical areas, but for the rest of us it’s potentially a miserable state of affairs.
There are some places where elegance and fashion struggle to find a happy balance. Farms, clown conventions and the bedroom spring to mind. It’s hard to look cool when you’re digging the earth, making funny or slumped under your duvet, but to give them credit one company seems to be trying…at least with the latter.

As regular readers know, we’re kind of ambivalent towards the craze of crowdfunding (e.g. Kickstarter, IndieGogo et al), primarily because it’s still a very untested way of funding projects and products. Some projects are obviously worthwhile, have a great team and fulfill a definite need for society at large, while others offer more iPhone cases. Two examples of this wide disparity of projects spring to mind immediately, because of their wildly different situations.
A bunch of wonderfully insane clever quirky chaps in Japan have come up with a solution to all our road traffic accident problems. The one where we regularly kill off the population of a small town every year through bad, unlucky or plain stupid driving mistakes. They’ve decided to ignore the high tech solutions like self-driving or radar equipped vehicles and instead have gone for the most basic, obvious solution of all. Genius or madmen?
We don’t often feature stuff which is so horrendous it makes us gasp, but in this case we’ve made an exception as a public service warning. So for all those good folk who are thinking of buying this Printed Christmas Tree Poster as a replacement for a real or plastic Yuletide tree, we urge you to think again. If only for the sake of the children.
There’s no question that unless we live high up in a remote mountain village somewhere, we’re all swimming in a sea of electromagnetic radiation.
