Knit your own plush videogames console – and hug a Nintendo today

Let’s face it, there can be little more satisfying in this world than to sew your own plush Nintendo games console, complete with interchangeable screens, two games cartridges and all the controllers. Yowsers!  I made the system with an opening cover so that games can be put in and removed and I made Mario 3 and Duck Hunt games…I made a controller and a gun that can both be plugged in and unplugged…And here’s where my obsessive compulsive behavior comes in,…

United Soccer – online multiplayer football gets its boots on

United Soccer. We blogged about this game 5 years ago, and now it appears to be almost ready for prime time. The web site is a bit broken at the moment, and I’m having problems joining a game (which I think is a problem with firewalls), but if I create my own others can join and it’s a real blast. Like playing multiplayer FIFA 200x in fact, but with more real players. Anyway have a go, it appears to be…

Desktop Gorilla – Tamagotchi eat your heart out

The marketing bods at London Zoo have released a Desktop Gorilla game to promote the launch of their Gorilla Kingdom enclosure at the zoo and it’s worse than Tamagotchi. The darn thing keeps moping around on the desktop and task bar, making me feel guilty about not playing/feeding or poop cleaning when I’m supposed to be working. And now I can’t delete it because it will feel like murder. Sheesh, the things I do for you people.  Developers have worked closely with…

Online Games Toolbar – your life wasted…forever

The Online Games Toolbar is a browser add-on for Firefox and IE which gives you a full menu listing of just about every major games service on the Web. Quick games, classic games, Flash, Java, you name it, you’ll find it from here in a couple of clicks. The one thing it desperately needs, however, is some sort of Top 20 chart to help you choose out of the thousands of games out there. Most of the stuff is free,…

USB Mouse on Bike – type faster or the rodent gets it

The USB Mouse on Bike is…uh…a small creature which pedals faster if you type faster. It also keeps a tally of your daily word count as you type. Strictly one for those lonely, despairing wannabe authors who are trudging through the grind of producing a first novel, methinks. Around $35.00 in Danish stuff.   Connect cyclist USB mouse to the USB port on your computer, and the faster you type, the faster he pedals! He also keeps record of your daily…

UBFunkeys – cute connectable collectibles

UBFunkeys are small…ah…cute…collectible thingies which connect to your PC via a hub. Starter pack retails for £19.95.  But that’s just the tip of the virtual iceberg because Funkeytown is in a right old mess and it needs your help. A disaster has caused the town’s…

Alien Voice Changer – Area 51 where are u?

The Alien Voice Changer comes with a face changer mask too, so that’s handy. But what’s especially hyperdelic about this piece of electronic wizardry is the retailer’s dire warning attached to the description. ‘FBI Warning! This device must not be used to make threatening phone calls! OK, so now we have this image of hardened Mafioso types sitting by telephones in their alien masks warning quivering saps that they’ll soon be sleeping with the fishes…on Alpha Centauri. Priceless. $28.95. [Via…
