Wireless Multimedia Flexible Keyboard – bendy, wendy, blue

This Wireless Multimedia Flexible Keyboard gets our unequivocal vote because it’s a pretty shade of blue. We like blue, don’t we children? OK, so it’s bendy, 2.4 GHz, 104 keys and all that boring jazz. But look at the colour. Fab. Oh and it’s ‘strong and silent’ which is far too cool a tag line to ignore. $29.00.  Wireless Multimedia Flexible Keyboard, which is strong, silent and indestructible, is made of a high quality silicone material. It is also storable and portable…

Cushion Control – remote this, baby

Cushion Control. Embedding remote control buttons into full sized cushions is either a stroke of genius or madness. To be honest we can’t figure out which yet. Anyway, it’s certainly fun no doubt.  A new generation of remote controls: a bunch of different cushions each having its own function: one for the channels, one for the power, one for the volume and so on. These remote controls can be thrown around, transforming the fights over “who has the remote” into…

Super Battery – wind-up power for your gadgets

The Super Battery recharging device contains a 5 volt, 700 amp rechargeable power pack which you can supplement with a quick wind-up if you need more juice while on the road. Seems like a pretty useful combination from here. $34.95.  Super Battery uses superior USB connection to recharge your iPod. Just keep Super Battery plugged in to any AC outlet overnight, and it fully recharges — holding that charge for at least two weeks. And should you use up Super…

Laser Cosmos – the sky at night

Judging by all the fuss, the Laser Cosmos star field projector is a really cool bit of kit. We can’t definitely comment because we haven’t seen it in action yet, but the retailers certainly seem to rate it. Apparently the main thing is that it appears to be 3D, which gives it the kind of depth normally missing from these gizmos. Anyhoo, it’ll cost ya £149.00 to find out.  Imagine lying in your room, and having the ceiling whipped away…

Star Wars Chubbies – huh?

Star Wars Chubbies. Er…what is there to say about this bizarre Russo/US toy collectible mashup? Nothing probably. From £7.95.  There are currently six dolls to collect and most show the evolution of their character, so Darth Vader opens up to reveal Episode III Anakin, who in turn opens up to reveal that annoying twerp from Episode I; Alec Guinness era Obi Wan opens up to reveal the bearded Jedi from Episode III, who in turn contains the fresh faced young…

Custom Oakley Thumps – bling your own MP3 shades

Customise your Oakley Thump Pro MP3 Sunglasses before you buy (including your own choice of etched phrase on the lenses) using the trendy online configurator. Shame that the $345.00 won’t give you more than a measly 512K of memory though, eh? Plainly you’re paying a premium for the ‘sweat resistant Unobtainium components’. Thank goodness for that. Bluetooth Wireless Speakers – from phone to hi-fi, without passing go

Bluetooth Wireless Speakers. Let’s just say that you have an urge to play the Tom Jones tracks on your mobile phone loudly. And you can’t be bothered to buy the right cable, connectors and fiddle around plugging the thing into your Hi-Fi system. Well in that case, this might be the answer. Each speaker has a 60W amp inside, so they’re going to be louder than the handsfree on your cell phone, that’s fer sure. But just think what you…

Pixel Watch – EL modern timepiece

The Pixel Watch uses electro-luminescent technology to light up a translucent casing. Sounds rather scientific doesn’t it? £80.00.  The Pixel Watch from ODM is one of the coolest watches we’ve seen in ages. The Pixel Watch uses an EL (Electro Luminescent) band, and translucent casing to produce an unusual and contemporary design. On the hour every hour, between 9pm and 3am there is an on screen animation and scrolling pattern. Tags: pixel+watch, el+tech
