DNKA. Allows you to set up Google Desktop Search as a multi-user, multi-computer service. Very Kleva! Free for personal use, $39.00 otherwise. Install it on your PC’s at work and home and your laptop and search/view/download on any from the others. Install it on a workgroup file server and use it to index/search/view the contents. Use it for a distributing files, like a P2P search service.

Quakesaver.

Freerip maestro Maurizio Giunti just dropped me a line to introduce his new shareware screensaver, Quakesaver. I’m not sure that I want to know this stuff though. You? $10.00.  QuakeSaver is a shareware screensaver which shows recent earthquakes, geolocalized on a true color Earth map. You can choose to display past day earthquakes, or past week earthquakes on the full world map, or select a specific region.

Xandros Open.

Our favourite Linux distro, Xandros, has just announced Version 3 Open Circulation Edition. Free, as in beer, for non-commercial use. Check it out, because it’s very nice indeed. And it comes with Firefox, Thunderbird and Skype as standard. Webcam deluxe

I came across this neat little Webcam proggie the other day and I like it. It contains the server software as well as the cam stuff in one package, which makes it a cinch to get up and running without having to hunt around for an online server.
