Google Currents, the tablet and smartphone formatted feed reader app has just gone international, and in celebration The Red Ferret is now published on the Google Currents platform. There’s a bunch of pig ignorant vested interests trying to clamp down on the Internet right now in yet another unwarranted attack via the US legislature. Regular readers will know my views from the past on these attacks, so if you want to help stop this stuff from happening here’s some actions you can take. In the USRead Matt Cutts’ great post on the subject, and take action using the links he gives on the page. Outside the USSign this petition. This constant barrage of attacks…

AT&T and Verizon waiving charges for calls to Japan

The earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan were more than devastating, killing countless people and tearing up the homes of many. There are a lot of us that have family and friends over there, and to make a call to make sure they’re alright can be a detrimental amount. AT&T set to impose caps on DSL bandwidth

AT&T is about to make a big no-no. The company recently announced that they would be putting a 150GB monthly cap on DSL users, and a 250GB bandwidth cap on U-Verse subscribers. The first time users go over their allotment they will receive a warning. The next time they will be notified at 65%, 90%, and 100% of their capacity. After the third offence, you will be charged an extra $10 per 50GB that you use beyond that limit. Letters…
