DB Export Beer Bottle Sand – the company that’s using waste to help save beaches

Did you know the world was running out of sand? Well, let me rephrase that. There’s lots of sand (whole deserts just FILLED with the stuff) but it’s running out of the kind of sand we need for manufacturing which is a problem. DB Export is taking a stand to save sand with the beer bottle recycling program. It’s turning beer bottles to sand.

Solar Powered Radio – this station fights information darkness with the sun

We’re used to media overload in our lives, after all, most of us have immediate access to any information we want, right in our pockets and bags. This isn’t true of the entire world and in some places, radio is what keeps people informed. In South Sudan, one radio station went full solar power to make sure people could get the news.

Bamboo Toothbrush – keep your mouth and the Earth clean

Toothbrushes, thank goodness for those, right? It’s so nice to have modern dental hygiene tools. The thing is though, they’re probably not great for the environment once you go to toss them. Sure you can probably extend their life a little bit by transitioning them into house cleaning tools but they’re going to end up in the bin eventually.
