Quinny Longboardstroller – totally weird but strangely logical family transport hits the streets, maybe literally…

So if this was April we’d be checking the calendar, but it ain’t and this is what it is. A product which can only have come from the fevered imagination of someone aching to return to their misspent youth, while ensuring they met their current responsibilities in a totally ‘real’ way. Man.

Recycled Denim is for more than just comfy jeans

Old jeans are taking on new lives. Creative minds have used them to make purses, furniture and insulation. This produces a hard, durable product that’s resistant to scratches and abrasions. Measuring 2 feet. wide, 4 feet. long and 1/2-inch thick (including a plywood backer board), the…

You’ve got to hand it to the clever Chinese, they know how to enjoy themselves in a collective way. Just look at this very cosy 4.7 Meter Electric Bicycle, which can hold up to 9 people comfortably as it presumably stutters along the road. We say presumably because we’re wondering how many batteries you need to haul that amount of cargo on just two wheels?

Chic-Robot Smart S1 – could this be the Segway killer we’ve been waiting for?

The idea of personal electric transportation has really taken hold of the imagination judging by the number of Segway like products flooding the market in China and the Far East. We’re not told exactly what the sales figures are, and certainly there are no photos of hundreds of ex-pedestrians poodling around Beijing on their new toys, but it definitely seems to be gaining in interest. Now there’s a new arrival which looks like it could actually convince people to give…

Panther Vision Solar Powercap – solar powered cap lights up your world and turns you green

If you’re going out in the dark then you’d better be prepared to face the darkness, right? Unless you’re a Lord of The Night. So a good durable flashlight is a must have in these conditions, to light up your path. However,  packing an extra torch may sometimes make your gear a bit heavy which can slow you down.

SeatyLock – the first really cool and workable new security device for bicycles we’ve seen

We hate promoting Kickstarter projects as you know, but this one deserves a bit of attention, because it looks like it could actually solve a big problem for bicycle riders across the world. The SeatyLock is what it says, a bike saddle which converts into a bike lock when you’re parked up. Now there have been a ton of crowdfunding attempts to improve the bike lock, and most of them have been patently rubbish. Not so this one.

They say there’s nothing really new under the sun, and judging by this new gadget, they’re absolutely right. Food Cycler – stop wasting your food scraps and use them on the garden instead

Compost is usually something that you associate with people who are really into nature. Like, really into it. I mean you would have to be since it’s basically turning biodegradable waste into, well, dirt. It’s good for the environment and all, but if you’re kind of averst to having a rotting pile of trash in your backyard, why not try the Food Cycler, an indoor composter instead?

LetterForms Dry Erase Notebook – the cool paperless notebook you can use again and again

The LetterForms Dry Erase Notebook is yet another of those, ‘why did it take so long‘ inventions which make so much sense when you really think about it. Almost everyone has used a paper notebook at some point or another, and filed it away once filled up, wasting yet more space in a drawer or on a shelf. But why should we not be able to reuse old notebooks over and over? Much more eco friendly. Trees will dance.
