Samsung Galaxy S5 – 18 Cool Tips and Features Of The New Superphone [Video Review]

The new Samsung Galaxy S5 is the latest iteration of the now venerable line of Android smartphones from the giant Korean company. Ceros Vision 16 GB Android Tablet – budget retina tablet offers great quality at an attractive price [Review]

There’s no shortage of budget Android tablets on the market, but for the most part they’re pretty middle of the road in terms of specifications and performance. That’s why it’s always nice to see a tablet which seems to have a little more thought and care put into design, especially when it looks nice as well.

PAWA Card – probably the coolest little credit card charger on the planet [Review]

We went to a small digital demo show last night and tucked away in the corner of the room was a little stand showing off these tiny gizmos. There’s a seemingly never ending supply of cheap Android smartphones coming out of China at the moment, some of them great, others not so impressive. We thought we’d take a look at a generic offering to see whether the overall quality of these phones has improved over the past couple of years. And the answer is…a qualified yes.

Seraphi Quadcopter – Phantom clone offers 28 mins of flying time per charge

Quadcopters are going from strength to strength, and not just for official uses. More and more people are buying them just to have fun, even though they’re pretty tricky to fly and not for the faint hearted. But the over-riding drive is to get a camera up in the air, to see the world as you don’t often get the chance.

Action cameras are all the rage nowadays, because…well everyone of us leads such exciting lives. Kingston Data Traveler Micro Duo 16GB – the perfect keychain data mover for phones [Review]

It’s all very well and good carrying around large amounts of data on our mobile phones, but the problem comes when we want to transfer it easily and quickly between phones, computers and other devices. Small files are fine, but when it comes to huge video files, or even lots of images or music tracks, it can be a real pain. And don’t even start us off about the slow speed of Bluetooth.

Regular readers will know that we generally tend to focus on free software because we enjoy supporting small independent publishers. However every so often we come across a piece of commercial software which offers such great functionality that we have to cover it. Such is the case here.

The Wearable Technology Show 2014 – a sneak preview of the current state of the art in wearable gadgets [Show Report]

The world’s first wearable technology show opened its doors to attendees this week, and we took a trip down there to video what was going on. For those just back from Mars, wearables are the latest ‘thing’ to hit the technology world. The idea is it covers any kind of technology that we wear, as opposed to carry around, so smart glasses, smart watches, smart jackets, shoes. But not phones or tablets etc. You get the picture.

Phantom 2 Vision – amazing flying camera turns the world into an aerial adventure [Review]

When the history books come to be written about the rise and rise of the quadcopter, we suspect that one of the names which will be high on the list will be that of DJI, makers of the Phantom 2 Vision ‘flying camera’. The company has managed to single handedly carve out a new segment in the ‘prosumer’ gadget world, the personal camera drone. And they’ve done it with style.

iPazz Port – Android Internet entertainment add-on for your TV is one of the best budget models so far [Review]

There are a lot of Android computers on the market which upgrade your television to add Internet and smart app functionality, but they’re mostly limited in one way or another, either because they’re too small – like the dongles we’ve reviewed in the past – or too expensive. But we’ve found one which manages to bridge the gap nicely, and it’s got a great feature set too.

Venstar Childproof Android 7 Inch Tablet – cute $59 password protected tablet for the kids [Review]

We don’t know who started it, but the idea that kids are allowed to stroll up and steal mommy and daddy’s super expensive smartphone or tablet computer for a game of sticky bun fightz or whatever has got to stop. Right? It’s bad enough cleaning the goo off the screen later, let alone wondering whether it’s going to hit the floor soon with all your work contacts on it. But there is a solution.
