It’s always great to be surprised by nice things, especially when you’re actually expecting something pretty ordinary. So it was with this new phone from popular Spanish manufacturer Energy Sistem, one of the top Spanish consumer electronics makers. The Energy Phone Pro is the company’s first ever Android smartphone, and instead of coming out with something boring and me-too, they’ve managed to produce a product that is really top notch in a lot of ways.

Even though the tag line of the product, proudly proclaimed on the front of the box, reads – ‘Wonderful Life Because of you.’ It’s just too flattering for words.

Veteran gadget maker Parrot yesterday rolled out the latest in its product range, a new, super easy to fly quadcopter called the Rolling Spider, and we were there to give it a quick test run. Quirky French name aside, the new toy is actually really cool in some ways, especially since we managed to keep it flying for more than our typical 5 seconds – bang! – routine.

We went to a small digital demo show last night and tucked away in the corner of the room was a little stand showing off these tiny gizmos. The PAWA Card is an ultra thin credit card sized charge block which comes with an integrated Lithium Polymer battery, and a very clever triple format connector.
