We have a feeling that 2015 will come to be recognized as the start of the era of the Chinese budget phone, which means it’s also likely to be the beginning of a surge in online handset buying. What this means for the main street phone retailers is anyone’s guess, but the signs are that things are going to get pretty precarious, pretty quickly.

THL 2015 – cool new budget 4G Android phone comes with fingerprint security and lots of Octa Power [Review]

There’s a brand new budget Android smartphone coming along at the beginning of next month, and it’s pretty fancy. Honor 6 – the best budget Android phone we’ve tested so far [Review] [Editors Choice]

The smartphone market is heading for a huge shock, as the traditional brands find themselves under increasing pressure from some very slick Chinese products which are making their way westwards. InkCase+ – a cool 2nd screen for your smartphone [Review]

The clever e-ink technology, which uses minimal power draw to display mono images on small screens, has really started to gain traction in the market. The Yotaphone 2, which we reviewed a while ago, is an example of a clever implementation of the tech, but now you can have the same kind of twin screen functionality for your existing phone. Clever.
