Stick & Shoot Lifestyle Camera – cute budget camera lets you mount and shoot anywhere [Review]

The world may be awash with cameras recording our every movement, but it’s still pretty difficult to mount them properly to ensure they capture the best view. Sure there are different static mounts, such as those for cars, bicycles and clamps for generic opportunities, but these are all add-ons which are not so convenient. Now a camera has arrived on the market which may solve that problem.

2016 Nissan Pulsar – lovely smooth, quiet family workhorse [Review]

The new 2016 Nissan Pulsar is an example of an ‘ordinary’ family car which delivers impressive smoothness and style, without breaking the bank too much. It’s aimed squarely at the VW Golf in terms of size and specification, and cost, and manages to deliver a credible amount of style to the task. We took one over for a couple of weeks extended test to see how it fares in general motoring terms.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro – superb 18 hour tablet with integrated 60 inch projector [Review]

Tablet computers still exist. No really they do. We know it seems like so 1950s to talk about them – remember when they were so HOT you would scald yourself picking one off the shelf – but they still have a useful purpose in the right hands. In fact Lenovo believes that their major use is as an entertainment device, which demonstrates a lot about how the market has shifted over the past year or so.

2016 MINI Convertible: Top down sun catcher, fun-seekers required [Review]

Here in the UK we buy more convertibles than the Spanish, Italians and French put together, which is rather surprising given the 50 shades of grey that so often typifies our weather.  Convertible owners must be an optimistic bunch and MINI found many of them for its topless model which became the best selling of its kind on these shores. Thankfully to test this third generation model, the MINI team wisely decided that optimism has its limits in expecting good…

Every time Jaguar releases a new model there is always talk that it is the most important yet, but with the launch of their new small saloon, XE, this really is the big one. Rearview Mirror HD Car Camera – cool budget car dashcam in a mirror [Review]

Car cameras (aka dashcams) come in all shapes and sizes, but one of the most interesting we think, is the type that comes embedded in a rearview mirror format. They’ve been around for a long while now, but the latest generation sport higher resolution and lower prices, which make them an attractive option for Joe Public.

2016 BMW 7 Series – 60 MPG, carbon-fibre, laser light luxury! [Review]

When you hear of BMW’s 7 Series model, what do you think of? Pampered rear passengers? Or, perhaps the car from the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies?  In that movie, a 7 Series was famously used to avoid the bad guys by being driven remotely via mobile phone.  Fast forward to 2016 and in both cases you could well be talking about this latest version of BMW’s flagship.

Cheerson CX-33 Sexcopter – fun mini drone, 25 mins fly time, and 720p camera [Review]

Here is our prediction. Quadcopters (or drones if you like) will be getting smaller and smaller, as the technology improves and government laws start to restrict hobby classifications. This Cheerson CX-33 for example, is a small craft with an unusual 6 prop design, which has a great flight time and some nice video features. We ran it through some tests recently to see how it performs.

Shinecon VR Glasses – turn your iPhone, Android or Windows phone into a 3D viewer and game console [Review]

It looks like VR is still trying to break through, especially now that the Oculus Rift is starting to emerge into the daylight for real. Almost. The idea of these budget products is to insert your smartphone, and use any specially created app or game to enjoy ‘immersive’, virtual reality views by turning your head and such. The question is, are they improving at all? The answer is a qualified yes.

Advanced Car Camera – elegant car DVR offers good performance [Review]

Car DVRs are growing ever more popular, which says something about our driving or the state of our traffic laws. But in either case, it’s definitely worthwhile having some sort of evidence if you ever suffer from a traffic related event. The new generation of car cameras offer this peace of mind, and the really good bit is they don’t cost the earth. Nor do they falter when it comes to bad lighting conditions.
