THL 2015 – cool new budget 4G Android phone comes with fingerprint security and lots of Octa Power [Review]

There’s a brand new budget Android smartphone coming along at the beginning of next month, and it’s pretty fancy. Not only does it have full 4G/LTE built in, as well as dual SIM, dual Standby, but it’s one of the first of its type to feature fingerprint security as standard, which is something usually reserved for much more expensive handsets. InkCase+ – a cool 2nd screen for your smartphone [Review]

The clever e-ink technology, which uses minimal power draw to display mono images on small screens, has really started to gain traction in the market. Obviously most e-readers like the Kindle use it, but it’s also making its way to smaller devices, like phones. The Yotaphone 2, which we reviewed a while ago, is an example of a clever implementation of the tech, but now you can have the same kind of twin screen functionality for your existing phone. Clever.

Most of us nowadays keep or stream our favorite music tracks using our smartphones, which is great for carrying around, but it can be a bit of a hassle if you want to play it back easily through your car stereo system. WowWee MiPosaur – hands on with WowWee’s new dancing dino robot [First Look]

We love robots. Who doesn’t? As long as they’re not tearing up the city we’re all for them. Especially when they’re cute and cuddly, and have enough smarts to play games with us. We’re actually looking forward to the day when we can have real looking robot dinosaurs roaming the hallways, it’s going to be fun. We think. In the meantime, the new smart toys will have to do instead.

Neon N2Q – $108 octa-core Android smartphone points the way to the future of cheap tech in 2015 [Review]

Time doesn’t stand still when it comes to technology, and 2015 is likely to go down as the year of the budget smartphone. Nokia kind of kicked off the genre in an oblique way a few weeks ago by introducing a $29 part smart phone, and it’s very likely that we’re going to see the same kind of downward pressure on prices over the coming months elsewhere with ‘proper’ smartphones.

Quadcopter cameras, which let you fly around and take cool video from strange new exotic angles, are now becoming very popular.
