Up to 11.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the Upto11.net service could be one of the single most awesome music finding tools evar. Why? Well think of collaborative filtering based on P2P networks combined with Wikipedia background info on artists, allied with a kickin’ search engine and you get the idea. The only thing that could do with some improvement is the preview function, which really needs better and deeper linking into tracks on places like Amazon….

Race Pac.

Race Pac. £100.00. Fold up racing controls for consoles? With Dual Shock vibration? Uber cool! More here. Shame there’s no PC version though.  It’s a completely unique system, compatible with both PS2 and Xbox games stations incorporating an adjustable racing wheel with an adjustable racing seat and pedals. When the [sic] it’s not in use, the Race Pac simply folds away and can be transported to a friend’s house or stored with ease under a bed or in a cupboard. The wheel…

Tube Guru.

The Tube Guru service is actually cool. Who would have thunk that the legendarily inefficient London Underground system could ever come up with an online tool that’s useful? And works? Live travel news, station info, what’s interesting around each station, local street map? It’s awesome. Use it dear people, use it! FlabberG.

Dial M for magnificent.

How to use the Dial Telephone. Fabulous clip of a silent AT&T training film from 1927. Here’s the actual video. Someday they’ll laugh over archives of iPod commercials too, won’t they?

Big…so big!

The Airbus A380 is a big plane. Very very big. Ridiculously, ‘how will it ever get off the ground?’ big. And golly, they’re on sale on eBay already? Isn’t Google wonderful?

Wipe and shine.

These are definitely the bestest windshield wiper sunglasses the Ferret has ever seen. Eh…?OK, perhaps the only ones we’ve ever seen. But with built in headlights? Oh joy, be part of our life once more. $70.00.  Using a single Double A battery in each of the side pieces, this pair of sunglasses really takes the cake. An On/Off switch on the side turns on both the wipers and the headlights at the same time. While the wipers glide smoothly across the heart shape…

Top gun.

The Quark Spinning Top. This Ferret has a fascination with spinning tops, which clearly comes from a deranged childhood. Hands free brolly.

Aargh, I can’t tell. Is this the world’s first handsfree umbrella? Or the world’s first handsfree accessory for normal umbrellas? Either way, it’s a genius idea. Bring ‘em on!

T-Rex.

The T-Rex. Stylish, expensive, Canadian three wheeler with 0–60 in 4.1 seconds. Smells like a teenager’s final fantasy, don’t it? $43,190.00. Or indeed its big V-Twin brother the T-Rex T/R.  The combination of motorcycle and formula technology and precision steering provide the T-Rex with optimal handling. Its engine exploits the Japanese superbikes technology and gives this unique vehicle an astounding acceleration.
