You have to give it to them, there are some product designs which really move out of the box, and this new Cruz electric bicycle is one great example. They could have sat down and created a boring grey and chrome pedal machine with a stodgy battery pack and all the character of a dead haddock, but no, they decided to go all Loony-Tunes and craft something formidable.

Fonkraft – the world’s first crowdfunded modular smartphone, or a gigantic Austrian prank/scam?

We’ve been warning about over enthusiasm in the crowdfunding world for a while now, and now a new project has popped up which triggers every alarm bell we’ve got. The new product is Fonkraft, billed as the ‘world’s first crowdfunded modular smartphone‘, which is basically a rival to the long-standing Project Ara concept being built by a Google sponsored team.
