DV8 Backpack Golf Clubs – no more lugging around that huge bag

This golf game is all well and good, but there’s one huge hassle. OK two huge hassles. The first is having to trudge around 50 miles of turf to locate and retrieve your lost balls en route to that teeny tiny hole. The second is having to haul a huge bag of clubs while you’re at it. Kaala Soot Printer – turning dirt into gold

It’s amazing what creative minds can dream up. But, as Walt Disney said, “if you can dream it, you can do it.” And scientist / inventor Anirudh Sharma, a graduate of the MIT Media Lab, has been working to do what some would say is either crazy or impossible – turn soot, some of the worst air pollution, into usable ink for printers and copy machines.

Crunch – reclaim valuable photo space on your phone memory [Freeware]

If you’re like us, you’ve got something like 200,000 photos stored on your phone, dating back to when the Sumarians first conquered Babylon. Or close. Well let’s just say you’ve got a lot of snaps, and the problem is you’re running out of space to add more. Sure you could delete some (gasp!) or swap memory cards, but that means losing your archive. But now there’s a better way which gives you more free space, for free.

We’re moving into eating season. You know it, we know it. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, from now on it’s one long slide into debauchery and untold belly aches. But before that happens, maybe we should all consider taking a little time to reflect on why we need to eat this much… nah, what the heck, just pass the bowl willya? But for those with a conscience…

USB Flash Drive Lock – keep your data safe on any flash drive

At one time or another most of us have carried around a bunch of important, private data on a flash drive. Even if it’s only the reports on our probation visits. The problem is you can easily lose these little USB drives, which makes for a scary scenario. Sure we could invest in a dedicated secure USB dongle, but they’re expensive. Which makes this 3 Digit Flash Drive Lock a rather interesting alternative.

Mother Dirt – can we really stay clean and healthy using soil not soap?

Every day we spend time and money ensuring that our bodies are as clean and sterile as possible, using soaps, shampoos and a variety of products designed to keep us fragrant. But could that regime actually be harming us in some fundamental way? The folks at Mother Dirt think so. Which is why they’ve created a range of products which are designed to restore what they call ‘happy bacteria’ to our lives.
