Wakerupper. Today’s the day for daft names, but the application certainly looks interesting enough. Register and sign in and you can set up alarm calls to be sent to your phone via SMS whenever you want. It’s beta, US only from the looks of it and features other cool functionality like recurring calls and voice reminders as well as text. Ah! Good idea to have this as a standalone.

I use Google Calendar with the SMS reminders, as it’s available to networks worldwide. Very very handy for remembering friends and families’ birthdays, and which bin to put out the night before!
