10 Killer Firefox Extensions (that you probably don’t know about). Interesting list, and indeed most are new. The one that caught my eye and which I now have installed is HyperWords, which crams a very cool set of tools into one svelte package – search, copy, translate, convert….you get the picture. It’s a keeper.
Another browser add-on you might like is Web of Trust. (full disclosure: my employer) WOT is an online community for reputation rating that lets Internet users share their knowledge of websites. The ratings are based on standards of trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy and child safety.
A tiny traffic light style icon appears next to the link after you search on Google, Yahoo!, Wikipedia, etc, so it alerts you about that site. What I like about it is that it’s people-driven, so I benefit from other people’s experience and knowledge–plus I can add my two cents in there too! WOT has information on 17.5 million websites, and is continually growing and improving. Version 3 is slated to come out soon with more features. Works with IE and Firefox.
Please check it out and let me know what you think.
Check it out Web of Trust
Ooh, sorry for those strange symbols that came when I typed an apostrophe (‘) and a hyphen (-).
Well, I hope you like Web of Trust!
