Text4Free – send free text and MMS messages from web to phone

Text4Free lets you send free SMS and MMS messages from the Web to any mobile phone. It’s international (although the MMS appears to be US only) and comes with a pretty simple interface (and *lots* of Adsense ads). You can send the message to multiple recipients as well, which is handy. There’s also a texting widget available for website owners to offer the free service to their visitors. All in all a very interesting service, although the most important part of the site must be this sentence –

Please note: we will never, EVER send spam to the receiving numbers.

You can send free text messages from this website to almost anywhere in the world. You don’t need to send text messages from your phone anymore; do it online! If you’re at school or work, this site will allow you to send free sms. Text 4 Free is an absolutely free sms messaging service.

Piece of advice: IT IS NOT FREE. IT COSTS THE RECIPIENT!

  • Zach

Please note it states that you can SEND sms messages for free. It says nothing about Recieving them. Usually without a texting package to recieve messages cost .5-.10 cents per message. Although now a days, the majority do have some kind of texting plan.
