How to Make Your Own Biodiesel – step by step guide to a cleaner burn

Howtomakeyourownbiodiesel

How to Make Your Own Biodiesel is a great step by step guide to making biodiesel for your own use. It covers just about everything you’re ever going to need, and is a goldmine of useful information. For instance the section on using biodiesel for modern turbocharged direct injection vehicles is a must read. Oh and SVO is straight vegetable oil, while WVO is waste vegetable oil (i.e. from restaurants and the like).

(Psst…Elsbett makes a really cool single tank multi-fuel kit for modern diesel cars, just in case you were interested)

Anybody can make biodiesel. It’s easy, you can make it in your kitchen — and it’s better fuel than the petro-diesel the oil companies sell you. Your diesel motor will run better and last longer on your home-made fuel, and it’s much cleaner — better for the environment and better for health. If you make it from used cooking oil it’s not only cheap but you’ll be recycling a troublesome waste product that too often ends up in sewers and landfills instead of being recycled. Best of all is the GREAT feeling of freedom, independence and empowerment making your own fuel will give you. Here’s how to do it — everything you need to know.

  • Damn, but I need this. Diesel is over $1.70 a litre here in Australia now. A couple of years ago it was under a dollar.
