TeachStreet. A new service designed to help locate teachers, schools and tuition in your area. It’s nicely appointed (we particularly like the lace curtains and proper china tea set) and aims to make money through the use of advertising and premium services yet to be announced. Importantly enough, it’s free for teachers to advertise their services, which should help build the database up.
TeachStreet is a free web site that helps students find local teachers, tutors, classes and schools so that they can learn new things. Our goal is to encourage life-long learning by connecting inquiring minds with stellar instructors–and for teachers to find motivated students–via an insanely easy-to-use web site.
