It is actually a genuine Nokia Tyre. Nokia was in the 80’s a multiheaded monster with many different business areas… then they concentrated on the mobile phones and rest is history.
Nokia sold the tyre manfacturing in 1988 and after that the tyres were called Nokian.

My Nokia wellingtons are still going strong, as it is rarely cold enough to wear boots with metal studs in the sole.
When I wore them to work on an icy day last winter one of the youngsters was amazed .
