Porto Go – leather bound iPod dock says ya boo to plastic

Portogo

The Audio Pro Porto Go is a leather covered, battery (or mains) powered iPod docking portable music player. It comes with a credit card sized remote control and a matching Gucci backpack in alpaca wool. Nah, just kidding. 100 decibel output and eight hours play time from a set of batteries should show the neighbours who’s boss. £179.00.

Other source components, including the iPod Shuffle and other MP3 players, can be connected using 3.5mm stereo jack. There’s also a subwoofer output for the addition of an active sub and for strictly private listening, a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack. Through its EmbracingSound technology, the compact Porto Go system not only generates size-defying levels of rhythmic, punchy sound (at up to 100dB), but stereo imaging as well, transforming an iPod from a personal to a big-sounding party music player for that far-flung barbecue or beach event.
