If you’ve ever suffered the 2 second YouTube video freeze in Firefox under Windows XP, then here’s a couple of cures to try. Number 1 usually works best for me. Wish they’d fix the problem though, ‘cause it’s a pain.
- Ctrl-Alt-Del – Task manager – Processes – highlight Firefox – Right mouse click – End Process Tree.
- Navigate to Windows – System32 – Macromed – Flash – click on npswf32 FlashUtil.exe.
Another suggestion I’ve seen is to copy the file NPSWF32.dll from C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins.
