12 Seconds TV – twitter for video

12secondstv

12 Seconds TV is a new service (still in private Alpha) that lets you upload precisely 12 seconds of video footage on any subject you like. Actually you don’t have to do the counting, the service just grabs the first 12 seconds of whatever you upload. Oh and it’s got comments too.

It’s like Twitter for video, and while it comes across as kind of weird at first, you do eventually get used to it. In fact you could say it’s…aargh…compelling. Video can be submitted from webcams or mobile phones, and there’s plans for lots of API developer stuff, widgets etc, once it comes out of Alpha. Of course that assumes the guys can keep it going in our current freefalling economic climate.

12seconds is the best place online for video status updates. It’s a super easy way to share what you’re doing with your friends and family using short video clips. You can use your web cam or mobile phone. Show your friends where you are, share your thoughts, or tell them how you’re doing. We are building a video status platform that will help you keep up to date with your friends 12 seconds at a time.
