Nikon D3 cut in half – readers of a delicate nature look away now

Image

A blogger in Tokyo snapped these photos of a Nikon D3 cut in half at the Tokyo Eco Products convention in December last year. I can’t help thinking that to pull the thing apart, cut everything in half, polish all the bits and then reassemble it must have taken hours. And check out the lump of glass in the viewfinder. More pictures via the link. Very cool. [Thanks Celinda!]

I visited the Tokyo Eco Products convention the other day (2008/12/12) to be exact and naturally I headed straight for the Nikon booth where my gaze immediately fell upon this beauty: a Nikon D3 cut in half for all of our camera porn pleasures!

  • Now if I can find the other half!!!!

    • I've got the Super Glue!

    • My English teacher, who was German, would have written, "I have the Super Glue."

But that was in Oxford in the 1940s.

    • Oh you people.
It's a Nikon! In distress! Show some compassion.
