The “extras” you see wandering around in the background on The Muppet Show are called Whatnots, and over at FAO Schwarz you can design your very own. Start in the Whatnot Workshop and choose the colour and design of the body, add some eyes, hair and a nose and top it all off with an outfit. After you’ve submitted and paid for it, your very own Whatnot will be delivered in 3-4 weeks. Each Whatnot is a 16″ tall hand and rod puppet, just like the real thing and costs $US90 not including delivery.
Whatnots are those zany-looking extras you see in every Muppet production. Wacky! Funny! Totally Unique!
