BeFunky – cool online site turns your photos into artwork for free

BeFunky is a new photo editing service with a difference. Instead of focusing on standard tools, the site lets you upload and customise your photos with a number of arty effects such as a cartoon style, or charcoal, or a pen and ink sketch and so on. The result is a fast and easy way to give your photos a completely different dimension just by pushing a button. It’s simple, effective and really neat. You may even notice an example below on a different post. A keeper.

BeFunky Photo Effects allow everyday people to easily create photographically rich and artistic results from their digital images without the need for any technical knowledge. These “one-click” photo effect options produce desired results effortlessly and each effect comes with the option to make simple adjustments.

  • FYI: I used this a couple of months ago and came across one problem on the site. Sometimes when downloading image (after the effects have been applied), you'd get someone else's picture. In all probability a couple of pictures I had uploaded and worked on are on someone else's computer.

This happened only during the download stage and not while tweaking the shot. Perhaps this issue has been resolved by now. This issue aside, befunky does a very good job with the effects they make available.

  • You can also use 2 very good sites PhotoFunia & Dumpr.
