280 Slides – online presentations done with style

280 Slides is a lovely little online presentation application which offers the functionality of PowerPoint with the online usefulness of..well…the Internets.

It’s incredibly easy to use. Just Select a new presentation from the top menu, and start adding new slides to your deck. If you’ve used PowerPoint it’s completely seamless. You can embed photos and videos, there’s themes and design tools galore, and all in all this is one powerful and impressive package. You can import existing PowerPoint presentations, edit and download them and access your deck from anywhere in the world where there’s a browser and Net connection.

There is, of course, a slight lag as you go to enter data, but that’s hardly surprising since the application is doing most of the processing via the browser (a tool originally designed to deliver simple hyperlinks remember?). As browser tech improves, which it is, and Javascript matures, it’s easy to see this class of application grow massively. Just a matter of time. Lovely stuff.

Create beautiful presentations, access them from anywhere, and share them with the world. With 280 Slides, there’s no software to download and nothing to pay for – and when you’re done building your presentation you can share it any way you like.
