Microsoft Pro Photo Tools 2 – geotagging your images and more…

Microsoftprophototools

Microsoft Pro Photo Tools 2 is a cool freeware program for tweaking photos. So far so hum, but the neat bit is the fact that you can quickly geo-tag the image using the menu and a couple of button presses. Just enter in the name of the place where you took the photo, and the software will look up the GPS coordinates from a Windows Live Local map. Once the lat and long is locked in, you can then display the image on a real map and track your photo shoot precisely.

The program also lets you convert from RAW images to JPG or TIFF and supports full EXIF metadata editing, so you can do things like add your name to the image file, add annotations and other useful stuff.

Microsoft Pro Photo Tools provides a set of tools for photographers to perform various tasks with their images—including RAW captures. The current version enables you to quickly geotag your photos, view and edit metadata, and more, leveraging the power of Windows and Microsoft Live Local.
