SoundOff. There’s nothing more annoying than enjoying an intense movie moment on your super expensive media PC when all of a sudden an email alert or other Windows system sound ruins the atmosphere. This small freeware tool gives you the power to switch off all Windows system sounds at will, and enjoy the movie as it should be enjoyed, with only the sound of popcorn and your pitiful sobbing breaking the silence. One of those tiny tiny utilities that are worth their weight in gold, my friends.
The program lets you quickly and easily turn off Windows sounds with the right-click of a mouse button. This is especially handy when you want to listen to music without hearing all the clinks and clunks of Windows actions. To currently do this, you have to go to the control panel, select the Sounds and Multimedia applet, select the Sounds tab, then change to No Sounds.
