Free Audio Editor 2009 – a freeware audio…er…editor

Freeaudioeditor

Free Audio Editor 2009 is a freeware audio editing program. Like what more is there to say? It lets you edit audio files (duh!), record audio, burn audio CDs and can handle MP3, WMA, WAV and OGG. It’s got a cutesy user interface for those who like colourful, but doesn’t have the kind of extensive plugin support you get with Audacity, which will make it of limited interest to those who take their audio editing seriously. But as a simple one-shot tool, it looks OK. Definitely worth a look.

The easy way to record, edit and enhance your sounds! Edit audio files visually; Record audio from a microphone or any other available input device; Apply various effects; Burn audio CDs from MP3, WMA, WAV, and OGG; All in one program, simple and intuitive – FAE (free audio editor). Completely free!

  • Nice find, thanks. I usually use Audacity (audacity.sourceforge.net) but I'll give this a go for sure.
