This Vibrating Bluetooth Caller ID Bracelet buzzes you when a phone call comes in on your cell phone, and flashes up the Caller ID information. You know, so you can decide whether to talk to the creep. It also saves energy by letting you leave your phone in the pocket. Perhaps the most useful bit though is the fact that it will alert you if your phone and your bracelet move more than 5 metres apart. No more handsets lost in taxis? $49.90.

 The LCD Bluetooth Vibrating Bracelet combines Fashion and Technologies. This Stylish Bracelet solves the problem of having your phone buried in pocket or bag, by giving your wrist a buzz “Vibration” when any calls in. Also, the LCD will Display the caller ID’s number and you can Just Press the Function Button to Pick the call or Reject while you are too busy to answer. What’s more, the Bracelet comes with the “Link Loss Alert Function”, if your mobile phone has gone more than 5 Meters apart from you, the Bracelet will notify you through vibration. So, you will notice that your phone has dropped in somewhere or may be stolen by someone.

    Two questions remain unclear.

    1. Does it just show called NUMBER or will it show the caller NAME from your phone contacts? I'm guessing since no mention is made of downloading your contacts, it only shows number (who remembers/knows their friends phone numbers these days?)

    2. If you Accept the call, it does what exactly (since it has no microphone/speaker)?

    It would be more useful if it also had a watch/clock function.

    @Rick, spot on. I don't get it either. If it does show you the number, what good is it? I can't remember everyone's number, that's why they're in the phone. And since it's using the Headset/Handsfree profile on your phone that means you can't connect a bluetooth headset.

    @Sirron, absolutely.

    So I think I've figured it out. This product is for the 0.01% of the population with a bluetooth phone that they keep in their bag and use without a bluetooth headset *and* don't wear a watch. Now that's a niche market. I guess it's also for executives to check surreptitiously who's ringing them if they're in a meeting.

    On the other hand, it doesn't look too bad.

    How exactly does it 'save energy'??
    You have to leave bluetooth permanently switched on on your phone (thereby requiring more frequent recharging), and you're wearing a second bluetooth device on your wrist which (I assume) also requires regular charging…
    Wouldn't it save more energy just to look at your phone to see (by name) who's calling ?

    It should vibrate for text messages and emails as well. This is just my thought for a military girlfriend of a deployed soldier who uses her cell to monitor calls, texts and emails from her soldier. And I just lost my phone today. This would have saved me time, heart ache (lost pics of our little girl), money and stress… Awesome idea, but add vibrate feature for texts and emails. ;)
