JetPhoto Studio is a free image management program which comes with a neat selection of features for editing, organising and enhancing your photographic library. You can use it to create screensavers, wallpapers and Flash powered web albums, as well as tweak EXIF data and add location information from GPS data (which integrates with Google Maps and Google Earth!). The program also has an automatic image calendar function which is very cool and will display your collection chronologically to make it easier to find images in large archives.
One of the best features you only get to trial, however, which is the Cover Flow web gallery, which gives you a gorgeous image gallery with full on pop up loveliness. For that you’ll need to license the software for $25.00.
Other touches include a nice magnifying glass for getting up close and personal with your images (a rather useful tool actually, which makes it surprising it’s not in more image editing programs) and a rudimentary editing function which gives you cropping and basic contrast/brightness tweakability.
Flickr integration, photo printing and mobile phone wallpaper editing round off the cool features, each of which is definitely worth the price of admission. I suspect that if you have a large photo collection you could spend a fair amount of time getting all this tagging and linking working, but the results should be excellent.
All in all this is a very nice photo management program which comes with enough innovative bits and pieces to definitely make it worth a download. Oh and it’s available in Mac and PC versions.
JetPhoto Studio enables users to review photos with an enclosed map on which to show the locations where photos were taken. JetPhoto matches digital photos with time synchronized GPS track logs. The particular location of a longitude-latitude coordinate will be set for each photo automatically, and link all located photos on Google Earth and Google Maps.
