Music Magpie lets you sell your old games, CDs and DVDs and turn the cash to some better use. Like surviving. Yeah it’s not new, but the site is well done, and you get freepost labels to use to send in your stuff. One caveat, if they decide your disc is not in good enough condition to repair or refurbish, you won’t get it back. Be warned.

We originally launched musicmagpie as an easy way for everyone to turn their old CDs into cash so that they did not have to be thrown away if they had decided to go digital. This proved to be a massive success with thousands of people using musicmagpie as a fast and efficient way to turn CDs into money. In a matter of months we had paid out over £754,000 to users.

Nice site – sold plenty of my cds to these guys and didnt get much for them but to be honest wasnt going to get much on ebay or amazon for them.

Have found several better alternatives for games and dvds though in cex.co.uk, tradeyourstuff.co.uk and speedsell.com. Cex are the best for dvds and tradeyourstuff probably the best for games trade-in values

Id second that Joe – definitely recommend looking at other sites before selling games to musicmagpie and that includes looking at tradeyourstuff and the high street stores such as Game or gamestation

Great site! You can get cash for old CDs DVDs and Games. And the environmental incentives are great also! It should definitely help a few people anyway.

For games, there is also http://www.tradeyourgames.co.uk who seem to offer more than musicmagpie for games.
