Oovoo is a free video chat service which offers conferencing for up to six people. It’s the kind of thing that you probably don’t need, until you need it. We use Skype video for all our one on one calls, and it works great, but for multiple people it’s back to audio only. I haven’t had a chance to try this in anger yet – video performance with 6 people on a call will be interesting to see – but the idea is certainly sound.
The free version gives you 3 way video calls, for the full six experience you’ll need to cough up £10.00 a month for the Super Plan (you’ll also get higher resolution video, and video recording and storage). Definitely worth a look.
ooVoo is FREE video calling. See up to six friends, family or colleagues at the same time – with video quality that’s like being face-to-face in the same room!
