Read Green Initiative – environmentally friendly magazines

With print ad revenue declining and Mike Elgan (The Raw Feed) trading barbs with Brian Lam (Gizmodo) on magazines vs blogs, print magazines don’t seem to be a great investment at the moment. But what if the magazines were free and you could read them anywhere?

The Read Green Initiative (not to be confused with Dharma) is an online magazine subscription service. Sign up with them and receive a free one-year subscription to one magazine in the Zinio stable. You can then read the magazine online without all the environmental unfriendliness of glossy magazines. Can’t decide on one magazine, no problems, you can also buy one-year subscriptions so you’ll never miss an issue and do your bit to reduce paper waste.

The Read Green Initiative offers millions of people FREE access to an alternative, environmentally friendly way of enjoying favorite magazines, books and other publications. Select your FREE one-year subscription to any magazine. Read it immediately with Zinio’s interactive reader. We know you will love it. It saves you some green.

I have subscribed to a few magazines at Read Green Initiative. Love them. Some of the magazines contain links for direct marketers to capture your email address though.
