Mogulus – run your own online television station, or stay a couch jockey

Mogulus

Mogulus is an online television/video service which not only provides the standard TV viewing experience, but also lets you create your own broadcast station if you fancy yourself as a bit of a media Moghul. Hmm…maybe that’s where the name came from?

Anyhoo, the ‘Mogulus Studio’ part is where you can set up your own broadcast channel, complete with multiple camera mixing, live streaming, automated broadcasts and YouTube import. The result is a pretty cool television studio service all done online.

The output can be embedded in any website via a handy customisable player widget, and there are free ad supported and commercial versions of the service, which offer varying degrees of sophistication. For instance the Pro version lets you have private channels, no adverts and improved video transcoding. One rather swish feature is video on demand, which lets you queue up a selection of programs from your library, which people can view as they want. Great for video tutorials and such. All in all, one of the better offerings of this sort on the market.

Mogulus is the most powerful live broadcast platform on the internet. Producers can use the Mogulus browser-based Studio application to create LIVE, scheduled and on-demand internet television to broadcast anywhere on the web through a single player widget. Our service comes in two flavors Free (ad-supported) and Pro (white-label, no-ads, pay for usage). Unique features include the ability to mix multiple live cameras, imported videos clips, and overlay graphics. With Mogulus, producers can broadcast live from a mobile phone; use a customizable flash player with integrated chat; and develop a branded channel page on Mogulus.com that incorporates interactive chat.
