BitBlinder is a peer-to-peer IP anonymiser and web proxy. Unlike other anonymous browsing networks, BitBlinder actively encourages peer-to-peer traffic and includes a BitTorrent client in its distribution. To use BitBlinder you must either pay or provide service as a peer for other users. In it’s current Beta state no payments are accepted so everyone is a peer. To stay on you’ll need to keep your seeding-to-leeching ratio up and Not Do Evil. Something to keep an eye on, especially down here behind the Great Firewall of Australia.
Why use BitBlinder? Online privacy and freedom is vanishing. Marketers and criminals alike track your online activities while Internet filtering becomes increasingly common. Governments and Internet Service Providers around the world are trying to restrict the information that you can access.
