Creative have released their second generation Vado HD pocket video camera. The new version shoots video at 1280×720 (progressive) and can output it via HDMI to 1080i. It comes in 4Gb and 8Gb versions, the 8Gb being able to record for up to 2 hours in HD+ mode or 4 hours of HD video. It has a rechargeable, removable battery, flip out built-in USB plug, built-in software for editing and it even plays nice with Macs and iMovie. US$179 for the 4Gb and US$199 for the 8Gb.
The Vado HD (2nd Gen) Pocket Video Cam easily captures videos in 720p high-definition quality with just the touch of a button and is the only pocket video camera to feature high-quality HDMI connectivity and an included HDMI cable that provides 1080i output to a HDTV.
