Encrypt-Stick – Turns your computer and flash drive into a vault

Image

Encrypt-Stick allows you to create secure vaults on your PC and uses a USB flash drive as the key. To access your documents on the PC the system needs both the special encrypted USB flash and a password so if you lose your laptop, the files on your hard drive can’t be read. If you lose your USB key, the files on it can’t be reader either so everything is safe. Just don’t lose both of them together. If you do, you can still order a new key via a secure process and regain access to your stuff.

The Stick packs 512 bit polymorphic encryption (whatever that is) to keep your stuff safe and the flash drive software has an encrypted password manager built-in so you can use it to safely manage all your very long, very hard to guess and varied passwords. At the moment it’s PC only but Linux and Mac are coming very soon. Best of all the price seems quite reasonable at US$39.99.

Encrypt-Stick is an encryption software system as well as an encrypted USB Flash Drive system that safeguards the loss of your data, files and records. Our system ensures businesses and individuals can protect their sensitive data while maintaining their obligations to the new privacy and information laws

  • Nice, but why pay money for this? Just use Truecrypt and use a password and a keyfile. Store the keyfile on a USB stick and you have the same solution for free!

    • You are definitely right, sometimes additions aren't that much useful and there are a lot more cheaper alternatives.
