Here at the Ferret we don’t like malware. But scanning for it can be a mite tedious when you’re just about to get stuck into testing the latest greatest free application and you realise your virus definitions are out of date. That’s why we’ve reviewed several free online virus scanners in the past. But if you’re a bit more paranoid you probably wouldn’t trust the results of just one virus scanner, which is when Jotti’s malware scan would come in pretty handy.
The same principle applies – upload your file of interest, click the button, then wait while Jotti submits the file to 21 online scanners (at this time).
You get quick results, parallel processing, and a permalink to email the results to your friends and family. Free, file size limit 15MB.
Jotti’s malware scan is a free online service that enables you to scan suspicious files with several anti-virus programs. Scanners used are Linux versions; detection differences with Windows versions of the same scanners may occur due to implementation differences. There is a 15MB limit per file.
