i-Fly Vamp – Remote controlled flying bat

Image

Looking for the perfect Halloween gift? Then try the i-Fly Vamp remote controlled, flying bat. This isn’t a helicopter disguised as a bat, it actually flaps it’s wings and can be sort-of controlled. It even has glowing LED eyes so you can fly it in the dark, well see when it’s crashed into something and is on the ground.

The controller needs 6 AAA batteries and is used to recharge the bat, which gets around 10 minutes of flight time from a 30 minute charge and the controller works up to 30 metres away. It even comes with a spare set of wings … which is more than Icarus had. 19.95 from GenieGadgets.

The innovative I-Fly Vamp is probably the World’s smallest Radio Controlled Flying Bat, in the form of an Ornithopter!… Not only featuring realistic flapping wings, but also incorporating an ingenious Patented Mechanism that alters the wing geometry to allow it to be turned, both with the wings flapping and on the glide.
