If you’ve got tired eyes from squinting at your iPod screen, help is here as Hammacher have updated their iPod Video Enlarger and DVD Player. It now accepts any video iPod, including iPod Touch, Nano and the iPhone, which tucks neatly into the player allowing you to drive it from the main screen.
It’s got an active 9″ 480 x 234, 16:9 monitor that can run for 3 hours from the internal battery. As well as playing DVDs it can also play media from SD/MMC cards and USB drives and has a remote and 3.5mm headphone socket. US$299.95.
This is the portable DVD player that also plays videos from most iPods and iPhones on a 9″ widescreen display. Using active matrix technology, the LCD can redraw images faster than typical LCD monitors, resulting in a sharper 480 x 234 resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
