The Tumbleweed Tiny House Company specialises in making tiny houses. They make two versions; Small Houses which are just that, or Tiny Houses which are more like ornate caravans that you can move if you want, or just plonk them down and live in them wherever you want. Just because you’ve got a tiny house though, doesn’t mean you have to go without. They have bathrooms, loft bedrooms, living rooms big enough for arm chairs and a kitchen. They connect to utilities the same way caravans do and they’re claimed to be very well insulated so heating costs are kept down. They’re not cheap, but they’re handmade and if you’re feeling crafty they’ll even sell you the plans. The Tiny House above is 89 square feet and it cost US$45,997
Tiny Houses – These homes range from 65-140 square feet. Because they are on wheels, they are considered travel trailers, and do not require a building permit. You can pretty much put one anywhere you can place an RV. Buy it ready made, or build it.
