22 Tracks – Awesome streaming music sampler site

22tracks

I’m not usually one to choose music via genre but if I’m letting someone else choose the music, doing it via genre is a great way to narrow things down. Which is why I’ve really been enjoying 22 Tracks for the last couple of days. It’s a Dutch streaming music website, broken down into about 20 different genres (seasonally adjusted). The music is chosen by various Dutch DJs, music journalists, radio personalities and music people and each genre has 22 tracks which you can listen to, pause, replay etc.

The web interface makes it very easy to listen to move between songs and genres, hit the artist’s Twitter feed, visit the band’s homepage or click a link and buy the music on the spot via iTunes. You can also create a free account with them and save songs to your personalised playlist and listen to it later.
