The makers of the Golf Ball Launcher reckon everyone should be free to play golf, no matter what their handicap (sorry about that). The thing is powered by compressed CO2 and the makers reckon it’s very safe – it has dual safety catches after all – and can lob a golf ball about 300 yards. They’re finalising production and lobbying golf courses to let their customers play their special version of air golf. The launchers will retail for around US$795, but that was back in June of 2008. Not sure what stage the product is at now.
The Golf Ball Launcher (picture coming soon) is a device that gives someone who is unable to swing a golf cub a chance to enjoy the game of golf. We are not trying to change the game of golf, we are just trying to give everyone an alternative way to play the game. The idea came in late November of 2004 when my dad had a stroke, leaving him without the use of both his right arm and leg.
