Tweak Me! – freeware lets you remove all those really annoying Windows bits

Tweakme

Tweak Me! is a free Windows customisation tool which manages to cram a huge amount of functionality into a very simple user interface. All you have to do is check or uncheck little boxes and press the save button and you can completely alter the way your Windows system looks and works. You can improve performance, change defaults (e.g. set Media Player to rip CDs automatically in MP3 rather than WMA) and customise security settings to your heart’s content.

I immediately went in and switched off the *really* annoying UAC dark screen feature in Vista, yay banished. Quick tip: set it to run in administrator mode in Vista and Windows 7. This is a great bit of software and definitely a keeper.

Tweak Me! Is a small but unique Windows Tweaking Application. Never has it been so easy to tweak all most used versions of Microsoft Windows using just one application. Tweak Me! has a modern user friendly GUI which makes it extremely easy for you to manage the most important tweaks which save you a lot of time when setting up Windows!
