Divvyshot is a new online photo album which takes a different approach to sharing your photos. Everything is based around events, and once an event is created, anyone can add their own images to the site and have them displayed as part of the occasion.
It may seem obvious, but this is something that I haven’t seen done properly in the past, this kind of thing is generally just an add-on feature which you can use. By putting event sharing first, the whole process becomes much easier to understand, so even Aunt Maude can upload her Instamatic shots when she gets home (yeah right!) and complete the collection.
It also helps that the album part is easy to navigate. You have the usual thumbnail selection view, but then there’s a great grid view which gives you an overview of all the photos in the collection. Simple but nice. Fast too. Overall it’s definitely a solid contender in this area, although it’s always going to be tough to compete in such a crowded sector. Definitely worth a look.
An event is a collection of photos multiple people can join to share the pictures they took at that event…Went on a trip? Had a family reunion? Create a new event to upload and share the photos you took.
