PenPal PC Pen – Graphics tablet without the tablet

Image

I love Wacom drawing tablets; they’re simple, intuitive and easy-to-use but they can be pretty pricey. If you’re looking for a simpler pen-based mouse for drawing and for the odd presentation, then have a look at this PenPal PC Pen (CVNE-K51) from Chinavasion.

The pen is wireless (2.4GHz) and works just like a Wacom pen, push down on the surface to left click, right click is a button on the pen. There’s a scroll wheel on the pen, a USB recharging dock, adjustable sensitivity (200, 400 and 800 dpi) and a hidden 405nm laser pointer.

Battery life is around 7 hours of continuous use and it takes around 8 hours to recharge. Comes with extra nibs, software, drawing mat and it works with everything; Windows, Mac OS and Linux. Currently on special for US$44.99 and what’s more, I’ve just ordered one.

Make your presentations come alive with The PC Pen! Just plug it into your notebook’s USB drive and it works seamlessly with programs like Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007. Showing a Powerpoint presentation? How would you like to write comments on the screen or circle important items? The ability to add real-time meta-data makes presentations more relevant and useful. With The PC Pen, you can do all this and more!
