Need some music on the go? The Cloud Player can satisfy your needs. When you navigate over to the site it loads up eerily as something akin to iTunes, but it’s a free player that culls independent music and thoughtful remixes from the web. You can search for available artists in the app and you can even use SoundCloud – which is a collaboration tool – to upload your own files to the web.
If you have a Google Account, you can save playlists and share them with others on The Cloud Player. There is even a way to make “smart” playlists that take music you have already listened to create a mix that matches you in terms of genre and beats per minute.

It seems like every time I load up The Cloud Player I quickly find something interesting. As you start scrolling through the music list it seemingly goes on forever, so I would recommend searching using one of the playlist tools. And it’s completely free, so what’s the harm in checking it out? It seems to be heavy on the electronica side, but there is music of all genres available. Just let it play in one of your browser tabs as it goes down the list, and you might find something you like.
